EXPERIENCE
The history of our company dates back to the end of the 20th century. Our factory is located in the beautiful and ecologically clean region of Pogórze Gorlickie in southern Poland. Generations of knowledge and experience shape our approach to woodworking — because nature is not eager to reveal its secrets. That’s why we’ve dedicated our lives to discovering the mysteries of trees: how various types of wood behave underfoot, their strength properties, and the natural color tones that can be brought out. Out of respect for our customers and love for nature, we set out to create the highest quality wooden floorboards under the REVESEN brand.
The use of modern and precise woodworking machines is another essential condition for producing top-quality floors. In our production process, we apply 9-stage machining technology to every board and parquet element. Each strip is planed nine times, ensuring high precision and reducing — or even eliminating — the need for sanding new flooring. This allows the wear layer to remain thicker, enabling more future renovations.
In short: with REVESEN, you receive precisely machined flooring that requires only minimal sanding. The result? A wear layer so durable that REVESEN floors can last through at least one additional renovation — translating to at least 10 extra years of use in residential conditions.
Our advanced tongue and groove profiling improves the ease of installation and ensures tight-fitting joints. On the underside of each floorboard, three stabilizing relief grooves further reduce internal stresses in the wood, keeping the floor flat and dimensionally stable over time. Finished REVESEN floors are packaged in protective foil to guard against moisture and weather exposure.
COMPUTER-CONTROLLED DRYING PROCESS
The drying process is one of the most critical stages in wooden floor production. It begins with air-drying — allowing the wood to release moisture slowly and naturally outdoors. Once appropriately seasoned, the timber enters the kiln for controlled drying in multiple stages, following what is known as the „drying regime.” The term “regime” reflects how strictly each phase must be followed to produce stable, high-quality flooring.
Skipping or shortening any drying phase compromises the behavior of the final product in use. Precise adherence to the full drying process ensures stability — free from warping or deformation — and also eliminates the traditional acclimatization time required after installation. Typically, wooden floors need around 30 days to “settle” in a room. Thanks to our computer-controlled drying, this period is reduced to just a few days — the time needed for the adhesive to cure.
REVESEN has invested in state-of-the-art, computer-controlled kilns. We combine deep material knowledge with modern technology — all to deliver flooring of the highest quality. Still, we also offer more affordable flooring solutions for less demanding clients.
NOT ALL WOOD IS CREATED EQUAL
From the perspective of floor quality, the origin of the wood and the drying process are of strategic importance. The best material comes from mature trunks, not branches — since trunks are less stressed by environmental factors like wind and sunlight. Furthermore, trees that grow in dense forests among others yield better timber than solitary trees in open fields. Surrounded by neighboring trees, they grow more evenly and are less exposed to strain, which improves wood stability.
Our computer-controlled drying process helps eliminate internal stresses present in fresh wood. At REVESEN, we pay great attention to timber selection and processing to minimize residual stress. This is vital to the quality of the floors we produce.
As you can see, we take numerous steps to reduce internal tensions at every stage of production — ensuring that you receive a product you’ll enjoy for many, many years.
